Bankowy Fundusz Leasingowy S.A.

Bankowy Fundusz Leasingowy (BFL) is a provider of lease finance in procurement of fixed asset, primarily machinery, vehicles and real property. It markets its services through own outlets and the PKO Bank Polski branch network. BFL operates under the brand name of PKO Leasing.

BFL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PKO Bank Polski. Additionally, it is the parent of own capital group comprised also of BFL Nieruchomości Sp. z o.o. and Bankowy Leasing Sp. z o.o.

BFL was able to develop a stabile and modern leasing business on the foundation of the relationship it maintains with PKO Bank Polski, i.e. Poland's largest commercial bank.

Key financials in respect of the year 2010

  • PLN 1,250 million value of the leased assets.
  • 5 per cent. leasing market share.
  • The seventh largest leasing provider, as per the annual league table.
  • BFL Capital Group's net assets stand at PLN 103.1 million, as at 31 December 2010.

Strategy

BFL aims to be one of the leasing market leaders as it continues to benefit from its collaborative relationship with PKO Bank Polski. It delivers tailored financial services that complement the Bank's core product offer. It works to achieve its strategic objectives through the use of the PKO Bank Polski distribution network. Equally, the BFL outlets contribute to acquisition of new clients of the Bank.

Significant events and achievements

Sales

By stepping up its sales effort, BFL was able to register 33 per cent. y/y revenue growth; with the following dynamics in the respective quarters of 2010:

  • Q1 2010 to Q1 2009: 13 per cent. sales volume growth;
  • Q2 2010 to Q2 2009: 17 per cent. sales volume growth;
  • Q3 2010 to Q3 2009: 42 per cent. sales volume growth; and
  • Q4 2010 to Q4 2009: 53 per cent. sales volume growth.

High adviser productivity

Average number of contract signings per one adviser rose by 120 per cent. in just one year.

The team's contract processing capacities increased markedly at introduction of a set of streamlined solutions. As a result, the number of the served clients is also expected to increase going forward.

Co-operation with PKO Bank Polski

BFL's move toward close-knit collaboration with the Bank lead to accomplishment of anticipated synergies. The Bank's clients benefit from access to a broad range of financial services, including leasing; now plainly available from a single capital group. The leasing offer reaches the potential clients through an expanded network of PKO Bank Polski outlets located across the country.
