eService serves the Poland's dynamically expanding card transactions market. With its 22 per cent. market share in terms of the number of operated terminals and a 25 per cent. share in terms of the generated transaction value, the Company is the top market leadership contender.
Its telecommunications and IT capabilities also support the operation of a wide range of added electronic data processing services, among others:
- balance top-ups for prepaid mobile phone services;
- servicing of loyalty programme cards at POS terminals;
- servicing of gift card;
- provision of cash back services at POS terminals while shopping;
- cash withdrawals at the proprietary ATM network; and
- servicing of contactless smart cards issued in the VISA and MasterCard payment systems.
The PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 quality certificate awarded in 2009 confirms the high customer service standards eService provides to its business partners.
Among many distinctions received from both its business partners as well as independent institutions, eService is a holder of the MasterCard Rock Award. It is also the sole authorisation centre in Poland to receive the European Medal awarded by the Office of the Committee for European Integration, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Business Centre Club to outstanding goods and services that meet European quality standards.

Strategy
eService's key development aims include continual upgrading of the operational technology and infrastructure: product development (adding new functionalities and expanding the existing ones); and build-out of the acceptance network for the payment cards and added services. eService aims to achieve the position of market leadership in the medium term.
Significant events and achievements
2010
- In Q3 2010 transaction volume generated via the vendor operated eService terminals reached PLN 5.4 billion (PLN 5.2 billion in the equivalent period of 2009).
- As per own estimates, at the end of 2010 eService held market share of approximately 25 per cent. in the payment card transactions turnover.
- Number of terminals installed as at the end of Q3 2010 stood at over 51,000, which represented a decline of 1.87 per cent. against the number registered at the end of 1H 2010.
- Processed total of 300,000 contactless transactions in the course of the Open'er, Coke Live, Selector and the Off Festival music festivals.
- As per own estimates, at the end of Q3 2010 eService held a 22 per cent. market share in installed card authorisation terminals.
- In Q3 2010 eService expanded its ATM network by 14 new machines.
2009
- eService processed 170,000 contactless transactions in the course of the Open'er, Coke Live, Selector and the Off Festival music festivals.
- eService awarded a PE-EN ISO 9001:2001 quality certificate number 0198 100 00247 in respect of payments and other services provided via devices used for processing payment card transactions.
- Rollout of a system enabling card payment authorisation via self-service devices; acquisition of the entire NESTE petrol station network.
- Commercial launch of Kasoterminal, a cash register integrated with a PIN Pad terminal.
