The report:

The Management Board of PKO Bank Polski S.A. (the “Bank”) informs that the Bank’s Supervisory Board decided today to appoint Mr. Artur Kurcweil to the Bank’s Management Board as its Vice President effective from 14 September 2021, for the current joint term of office of the Bank's Management Board, which started as of 3 July 2020.

 

Information of the person newly appointed to the Bank's Management Board

Artur Kurcweil has over 20 years of managerial experience in an IT area. Since 2011 to 2021 he had been working in PZU Group, where in 2019 he was appointed as IT Managing Director responsible for digitization. His responsibilities included the digital transformation of the Group’s services, IT projects, ensuring business continuity and the implementation of cybersecurity measures. He was the supervising director of the Innovation Laboratory, which was involved in dealing with international startups, testing and implementing the innovations within PZU Group.

Before 2011, for over five years, he was employed by IBM and for eight years in the Siemens Group. He worked in the Siemens head office in Munich for three years, which allowed him to gain international expertise and knowledge in consulting and international IT management processes.

In his work Artur Kurcweil is focused on innovation, digitalization, process effectiveness and the dynamic development of the multi-channel business. His experience from the perspective of both client and supplier allows him to understand new technologies, the requirements of the market and the dynamic changes in the area of new technologies.

He is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, majoring in cybersecurity management, and of the West Pomeranian Business School in Szczecin which he graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science and econometrics and a master's degree in economics.

 

According to the submitted statement Mr. Artur Kurcweil does not carry out any activities in competition with the Bank, in particular having the status of a partner in a civil law partnership or partnership or company which is in competition with the Bank, holding the position of a member of a body of any other legal entity which is in competition with the Bank or carrying out business activities on his own in competition with the Bank. Mr. Artur Kurcweil is not registered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors, maintained on the basis of the Act of 20 August 1997 on the National Court Register.
