The Gap Analysis was conducted to define further actions for implementation of the Energy Management System and the ISO 500001 standard at the bank.

The ISO 50001 standard consists of a set of best practices for an organization to improve the efficiency of its energy consumption, while remaining compliant with the current legal and other requirements, to which an organization is subject or strives to respect even in the absence of any formal requirements. The standard is being implemented by an increasing number of organizations around the world, regardless of their size, structure, industry or geographic area, cultural or social circumstances.

The Energy Management System may include all energy carriers whose utilization impacts the level of CO2 emissions under Scope 1 and Scope 2. It facilitates the development of a uniform system, which – based on the existing and new processes in place – will lead to an optimization of those energy carriers.
