The Bank announces that on 2 July 2009 it received a request from the State Treasury represented by the Minister of the State Treasury – under the procedure of Article 400 § 1 of the Commercial Companies Code – to call an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of the Bank (“EGM”) as soon as possible. After analysing possible dates for calling the EGM and taking into consideration the legal changes coming into force on 3 August 2009 in the manner of calling and holding general meetings of public companies, the Management Board of the Bank intends to call the EGM towards the end of August 2009. The Bank has initially considered 21 August 2009 as the date for calling the EGM. The agenda and the final date, venue and time of the EGM will be made public in accordance with applicable law, after appropriate decisions have been taken by the Company’s bodies.
