Financial education, strategy and competition – now you can play on the PKO Bank Polski map created in Fortnite

Strategic planning, efficient resource and money management, clever competition – this is what players will find on the PKO Bank Polski map created in Fortnite. Poland's number one bank uses entertainment for financial education in one of the most popular games in the world.
The young generation of Poles can learn how to manage their finances in a fun way, which is one of the best methods of developing their skills in managing money and valuable resources. With this in mind, we created the educational game ‘Cash Empire Tycoon’ in the Fortnite environment. The game not only provides entertainment, but above all teaches strategic planning, entrepreneurship and responsible budget management. This allows young people to gain valuable knowledge in their natural digital environment.
In the PKO Bank Polski game created in Fortnite, players will develop their strategic thinking, decision-making and resourcefulness skills. The key location on the map is PKO Rotunda, where the player starts the game and earns their first money. They are then given a plot of land on which to start developing their base. Players can use the financial products available in the PKO Rotunda: loans, savings accounts and deposits to improve their base faster. In addition, there are side tasks on the map for which the player receives special bonuses, thanks to which they can build their empire faster. There are also clothing, vehicle and upgrade shops on the map.

We believe that friendly banking must exist in people's everyday contexts - entering the world of Fortnite is the next step in this direction

Education and entertainment combined in one game

The PKO Bank Polski game is based on the Fortnite creative mode, which means that it is a strategic financial game (economic education) in the tycoon model. There is no elimination of other players - the gameplay is based on raising funds, managing the budget and expanding the base. The only form of ‘fighting’ is in one of the side missions, in which players eliminate zombies attacking a building.
The bank does not sell any financial products in the game either. It focuses on educating players by showing them how to manage their money and the effects of using loans, deposits or savings accounts. It also teaches social behaviour. In side quests, players can gain if they help someone, e.g. find or deliver subjects (fire extinguisher for a fireman, medical equipment for a doctor).

The game, apart from the educational element, allows to build brand awareness of the largest bank among the youngest and strengthen the image of the leader of innovation, finance and technology in Poland and worldwide.

How to play on the PKO Bank Polski map created in Fortnite?

The player will complete the game when:
- he/she builds the base 100 percent,
- he/she completes all side missions,
- he/she finds all gadgets,
- he/she uses all financial products in PKO Rotunda.
Players can compete against each other multiple times thanks to the game mechanics that allow them to start the game over again. This allows them to try out different, new strategies and increase their in-game funds more effectively, which at the same time encourages wise financial management. The game is designed to be intuitive, so players know what to do and what their goals are from the start. They also have a lot of freedom in their decisions and actions. The gameplay is open and engaging.
The PKO Bank Polski game created in Fortnite will be promoted by gaming influencers: Jacob, SzamanFN, Matek, Smarte, Bezni and Setty. The bank has been working with inStreamly, an agency responsible for game development, promotion and cooperation with influencers, working in a 360-degree gaming approach with its partners Creative Minds and a41.gg.
