The report:

The Management Board of PKO Bank Polski S.A. (the “Bank”) hereby informs that on 2 June 2016 the Supervisory Board of the Bank appointed Mr. Mieczysław Król for the position of the Vice-President of the Bank’s Management Board as of 6 June 2016 for the current joint term of office of the Bank’s Management Board.

Below the Bank presents information about appointed member of the Management Board:

Mieczyslaw Król

Banker, finance specialist, manager, 58 years of age, Master of Economics, a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (Faculty of Finance and Statistics) and International School of Management. Graduate of Doctoral Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (Collegium of Management and Finance).

Professional experience in banking and finance of over thirty years. He worked for such institutions as the National Bank of Poland. Director of PKO Bank Polski S.A. many years. In the years 2007-2011 he was the Director of the Audit Department of PKO Bank Polski S.A.  From 2011 to 2015 he was the Director of the Audit Department of Bank Ochrony Środowiska S.A. in Warsaw. Between 2006 and 2007, he was serving on the Supervisory Board of Centrum Finansowo – Bankowe (Finance  and Banking Centre) in Warsaw. In 2007, he was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zakłady Chemiczne (Chemical Plant)  "Organika - Sarzyna" in Nowa Sarzyna and the Conservation Plant. Member of the supervisory boards of financial institutions. He lectured at the Higher School of Business in Warsaw (Wyższa Szkoła Działalności Gospodarczej). He authored a number of papers on the issues of banking and economics.

In the period of 1998 – 2002, he was a councillor of Warszawa poviat. He was a Deputy Chairman of the Budget Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. In the period of 2002 - 2014 he was a member of the City Council of Capital City of Warsaw. In the City Council he was a Deputy Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee and a member of the Health Committee. His pro publico bono engagements include the chairmanship of the Board of Trustees of Bielany Hospital.

Mieczyslaw Król is married and has three children.

Mieczysław Król declared that:

-        he doesn’t conduct any business competitive to the business of the Bank;

-        he doesn’t participate in any business competitive in respect of the Bank as a partner in a partnership;

-        he is not a member of a governing body of a company competing with the Bank,

-        he is not a member of any other governing body of legal person competing with the Bank;

-        he is not registered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.
