The Management Board of PKO Bank Polski S.A. (the “Bank”) hereby announces that on January 19, 2026, it received a notification from a shareholder the State Treasury regarding the nomination of Mr Grzegorz Mazurek as a candidate for membership of the Bank’s Supervisory Board in connection with the convening of an Extraordinary General Meeting (“EGM”) on January 20, 2026.
Below the Bank is enclosing information on candidate’s professional CV, educational background and qualifications to enable the Bank's shareholders to familiarise themselves with such information prior to the EGM.
Grzegorz Mazurek
Professor of economics, academic manager, expert in digital transformation and management.
Professor, Habilitated Doctor Grzegorz Mazurek is the Rector of Kozminski University in Warsaw – one of the highest-ranked business schools in Europe, with triple accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, and featured in the Financial Times rankings. He heads a complex academic organisation, responsible for development strategy, financial stability, quality of education and research, and international relations.
He is a renowned scientist and author of numerous publications on digital transformation and the impact of new technologies – including artificial intelligence – on business models and organisational management. His work has been published in prestigious international journals, and he works closely with the business community in the areas of strategic development and innovation.
He has many years of experience in management, institutional supervision and working in an international environment. He is a member of the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) Board of Trustees and serves as EFMD Vice President responsible for the Central and Eastern Europe region. He also participates in the work of international bodies related to accreditation and quality of management education (including EQUIS).
In the past, he gained experience in the financial and technology sectors, including projects related to the development of electronic banking. In his work, he combines scientific, strategic and practical perspectives, with a particular focus on risk management, innovation and organisational governance.
