Just imagine that electronic banking is like your wallet and your login and password are the keys to your home

Find out how to use iPKO and the IKO application more safely

Login and password

  • Make sure no one else knows your login details
  • Do not write down your logins and passwords anywhere
  • Do not save passwords in your web browser
  • Use independent password managers with stronger encryption algorithms
  • Create complex passwords that are difficult for others to guess, with upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters: `!@#$%^&* () _+-={} []:; ',.<>?. without Polish letters, e.g. ł, ś, ó
  • Use different passwords for different accounts and change them regularly

 Devices and software

  • Use only legal and updated software: system, applications, web browsers, anti-virus software
  • Download and update IKO only from authorised shops: Google Play, App Store or App Gallery
  • Use a firewall and regularly scan your devices with anti-virus software
  • Do not log in to iPKO and IKO:
    - via public and unsecured Wi-Fi
    - on publicly accessible devices, e.g. in Internet cafés, hotels
  • Block access to your phone and computer with a PIN or password
  • Do not connect external data storage devices, e.g. a memory stick, to your device if you are not sure they are secure
  • Don't install software from unknown sources on your computer - never send links or attachments to additional security features such as an e-security certificate, antivirus application or other additional software
